At Throttle Travel, our passion for exploration runs deep – it’s more than a career, it’s a lifestyle. From humble beginnings of weekend road trips to long-distance adventures across the country, our journey has shaped who we are and how we serve our clients today.
As a young adult, I had a restless desire to wander. By the age of 21, I had already visited states across the Midwest and South, exploring Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, Kansas, and Pennsylvania. But like many, life eventually took me in a different direction. I settled down, earned my degrees (including an MBA), and built a rewarding career as a CPA. Together with my husband, we balanced careers, raised an incredible daughter, and embraced the busyness of family life.

Everything changed when we moved near a Harley-Davidson dealership just in time for the company’s 100th-anniversary celebration. If you live near Milwaukee, you know these milestone events are more than just parties – they’re global gatherings. We were hooked. The Harley-Davidson community opened up a new world for us, connecting us with like-minded people and reigniting our desire to explore.
With the Midwest’s short riding seasons, we began to spend winters planning trips and dreaming of new destinations. Soon, motorcycle travel became our way of life, and as empty-nesters, we hit the road full force – logging over 90,000 miles across the U.S. and exploring every state except Alaska and parts of the upper East Coast.

But our wanderlust didn’t stop there and Throttle Travel was born. We expanded beyond borders, diving into international travel, cruising and with over a dozen trips to Mexico, falling in love with Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We never miss a chance to whale watch in the winter or cruise through the Caribbean, with Grand Cayman as a personal port favorite.
